Local politics matter.
We need more women running for office in our communities – from township trustees and school boards to city councils and mayors. We need more women elected all across Ohio at every level, because one office is often the first step toward the next higher office. But in addition to women running for office, we need more women to engage in the political process at every level – volunteer, donate, advocate. The more local an elected office is, the more direct impact its policies have on the economic security of women and our everyday lives. Local politics matter.
Knowing this, The Matriots has organized regional “hives” to make it easier for women all across Ohio to engage and get involved in the political process. Check out the hive in your part of the state to get to know your local candidates and find out what The Matriots is up to in your area.
