Welcome Stokien is a passionate community advocate and candidate for Ross County Commissioner, committed to fostering inclusive growth and addressing the needs of all residents. With a background in business and marketing from Eastern Gateway Community College, where she is currently completing a business degree, Welcome brings a strong foundation in strategic thinking and problem-solving to her campaign.  

Welcome is the founder and coordinator of Nature’s Prism Teen Homeschool Co-op, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and organizational skills, empowering young people with critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities.

As a first-time candidate, Welcome is driven by a deep commitment to community service, shaped by her own experiences of overcoming adversity. Having raised herself from a young age, she has a profound understanding of the importance of resilience, empathy, and public service. Welcome’s platform focuses on economic development, public infrastructure, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship, with a particular emphasis on restoring the county jail and improving community support systems.
