A Cleveland State Alumna with a Master’s Degree in Urban Affairs, Councilmember Toni Jones is seeking to be re-elected to Maple Heights City Council where she has actively served since 2008. As a member of council, she has used skills and knowledge gained from the 30+ years she has spent working in the non-profit sector, principally in housing development. Councilmember Jones is currently the Housing Director at Jefferson Puritas West Park Development Corporation where she has contributed 26 years of hard work and commitment. Aside from city council and her career, Jones dedicates her time to the Vacant and Abandoned Property Action Council, the Fair Housing Center for Rights & Research, and the Ohio Fair Lending Coalition. Councilmember Jones understands how housing insecurity can manifest in all other components of one’s well being and has worked endlessly to combat it in her community. Undoubtedly, Councilmember Jones will continue to fight for equity and economic empowerment if re-elected.
