Dr. Tina Pierce, a Columbus native and mother of four, understands the need for competent and compassionate educators. Through her educational journey culminating in her doctoral degree, where she focused on the politics of urban education, she became familiar with what good school governance should look like and is excited to bring that perspective to the Columbus City School District. Her academic training and professional experiences have given her a keen understanding of the political landscape of urban education, especially within Ohio and Columbus. She will encourage educators and community members to work together in collaboration to drive the success of our students and schools. When re-elected, Dr. Pierce will continue to help create prosperous schools that encourage educators and students to succeed.
