As a resident of the city her entire life, Tara Mosley is running for Mayor of Akron to ensure that it remains a safe place to work and raise families.  As a 3-term member of Akron’s city council, Councilmember Mosley understands that Akron needs a leader who is accountable and listens to the business community, public service providers, and residents. On Council, she has focused on supporting hardworking Akronites and keeping families out of poverty. Councilmember Mosley has worked hard to sponsor legislation that forgives student loans, supports necessary debt relief, and holds landlords accountable for the safety of their tenants. Before being elected to council, she served for years as a Bailiff in the Akron Municipal Court. From her work as a Public Safety & Crime Prevention Committee member to her support of legislation that makes hair discrimination illegal for Akron employees, Tara Mosley has repeatedly proven her commitment to the city of Akron and her resolve to work tirelessly for its residents.
