Marion Board of Education
Central Ohio, Local
Tara Dyer is a lifelong resident of Marion and is seeking re-election as a member of the Marion Board of Education. Taras’ grandchildren currently go to school in the district, so she sees firsthand what the school district needs. A former elementary teacher herself, Tara has also shared her educational background by working in the Marion City Schools childcare program, providing childcare for teen parents while they attended classes. Currently, Tara is the mentoring supervisor with Marion Mentors at Grant Middle School. When re-elected, Tara will continue working on the newly funded project “the whole child framework.” She is also looking to work alongside the new superintendent and bring her professional experience to the district to offer more ways to promote education for all in the community.
When Tara is not spending time serving the board, she is working to improve the quality of life for the citizens in her community. We know that when Tara is re-elected, she will uphold multiple Matriots values while serving the Marion Board of Education.
I got a seat at the table and I’m not done advocating for our students and making a difference.
