Susan Hoover has dedicated her life to improving the lives of others. As a mental health therapist with a thriving practice, she brings compassion and commitment to every aspect of her work. As a lifelong volunteer, Hoover’s deep sense of service has always gone beyond her professional life. An effective community leader and organizer, Susan has served on executive committees for both professional and educational organizations. She has hosted community conversations that have fostered stronger relations between Norwood Police and residents, helped bridge the gap with Xavier university students, and partnered with the historical Society to apply for markers celebrating Norwood’s rich and complex history.
Susan created the city’s DEI Advisory Board and has supported legislation that protects the most vulnerable in the community. She has worked to improve communication between the city and businesses and residents and build strong relationships with leaders at the county, state, and national levels to bring critical resources to Norwood.
Susan and her husband Kraig, a public-school educator, have lived in Norwood for over 25 years. They are proud to have raised their three sons in a community they love. Susan is excited to continue putting her energy, experience, and heart to work to make Norwood even better for everyone who calls it home.
