Stacey Benson-Taylor is a dedicated advocate for working families and a committed public servant currently serving as the Montgomery County Recorder. With a robust background in education and law, including an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Sinclair, a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Wright State University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law, Stacey has the expertise to provide efficient and reliable services to the community.
Her career began at Delphi and the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office, and she has spent over 30 years as a union member and labor leader with IUE and AFSCME Ohio Council 8. As Montgomery County Recorder, Stacey is focused on protecting property owners from deed fraud and implementing proactive safeguards. She is also committed to promoting homeownership, supporting veteran initiatives, and connecting the community with essential resources. Stacey is actively involved in various organizations, including the Ohio Recorders’ Association, the NAACP Executive Committee, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the AFL-CIO Executive Board.
