Sheila Coressel
for Ohio House of Representatives, District 83

Sheila grew up in Defiance County, Ohio, where she learned the value of hard work and community. After graduating from Tinora High School in 1993, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Akron and later a Master of Science in Counseling and Student Personnel from Oklahoma State University. Her passion for education and leadership led her to a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University.
Sheila’s career in higher education has reinforced her belief in inclusive leadership. Since returning to Ohio in 2016, she has served on the Hardin County Democratic Party’s central and executive committees, volunteered as a poll worker, and was elected as a councilperson for Ada Village in 2019, with a re-election in 2023.
Sheila is running for state representative in Ohio’s 83rd district to ensure that all voices are heard and represented. She is committed to the Matriots’ values of equity, community, and leadership, and looks forward to engaging with her constituents to bring their perspectives to the Ohio General Assembly.
