Sharetta Smith is, in her words, “well-versed in the complexities of government,” having served four years as the outgoing Mayor’s Chief of Staff. Her desire to help people led to a successful law career, serving on the board of the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, and founding the Lima Women’s Leadership Collective. Sharetta says she’s running for the first time because she has “the courage and political will to…(build) a better Lima for all of us” focusing on public safety, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
