Sarah is the current Lakewood City Council President. She was first elected in 2021, took on the role of Council President in 2024, and is now running again to continue her leadership on council.

Sarah is an active community leader and has received a number of endorsements for her council run. She is the founder of Gigalearn, LLC, which provides community science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) education, primarily computer programming and robotics for kids and teens.

Kepple is an active community organizer, a longtime public servant, and a small business owner. She possesses a unique combination of skills, perspective, and dedication to the community that has empowered her to serve the city she loves with distinction and effectiveness for the past five years. Her many years spent working with a diverse array of children, teens, and families in public libraries and as an educator have allowed her to hone her ability to listen closely, meet constituents where they are, resolve conflict with courtesy and communication, and help folks attain the resources they need. On council, she will continue to be an advocate for Matriots’ values and the needs of her constituents.
