Sandra Morgan is a proven leader with decades of experience in strategic partnerships, international relations, and public service. Most recently, she served as Strategic Partnerships and Outreach Director at Kent State University, working across government, research, and community sectors to advance the university’s goals.

Previously, she led international trade efforts as Regional Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at World Trade Center Cleveland. Her global work led to her appointment as Honorary British Consul in Ohio, where she has strengthened UK-Ohio relations for over 20 years. In 2023, she was named an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) by King Charles III.

Sandra holds a B.A. from Smith College and an Executive MBA from Kent State. She has served on numerous civic and cultural boards, including the Cleveland Metropolitan School Board, British American Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Ohio Commodores, an advisory council to the Governor.

The granddaughter of inventor Garrett A. Morgan, Sandra carries forward a legacy of innovation and public service. Her leadership and lifelong commitment to education, equity, and civic engagement align deeply with The Matriots’ values and will allow her to serve the needs of her constituents when in office.
