Rana Odeh
Granville Board of Education
Central, Local
Rana Odeh has been an active member of the Granville community for the past 12 years. A mother of three boys, she currently serves on the Granville Township Land Management Committee, and previously served on the board of the Granville Parent Cooperative Preschool. In addition, she is active in two local women’s groups, Strong Voices Rising and Game Changing Women. A Master’s degree in International and Comparative Politics has taught Rana diplomacy and negotiation, and her experience as a public speaker has made her a pillar in the community known for ‘educating others with kindness’. As a member of the Granville Board of Education, Rana wants all students to feel confident in who they are and to give a louder voice to women and girls. Her focus will be to align policies and practices with the Portrait of a Graduate initiative, promote empathy and cultural competence to prepare students for a globalized world, and advocate for an increase in physical activity and outdoor time in grades K-6.
