Representative Rachel Baker is a dedicated mother of three children, a pediatric nurse, social worker, court-appointed child advocate (CASA), and nurse researcher. She earned her nursing degree and PhD from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s from the University of Michigan. Living in Anderson Township for over 21 years, she and her family are actively engaged in the community. 

Professionally, Rachel is a Nurse Researcher in Cincinnati and an adjunct professor teaching Research and Biostatistics at three universities. She was elected as State Representative in 2022, winning by nearly 12%. In her first year, she was the primary sponsor of 7 bills and co-sponsored 58 others. She serves on several committees, including Aviation & Aerospace, Behavioral Health, Health Provider Services, Public Health, and Technology & Innovation. She is also the treasurer of the Ohio Democratic Women Legislative Caucus and serves on the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board and the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund Board.
