Rachel Baker has an extensive background in public health and a wealth of knowledge, holding a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in social work, as well as a PhD in nursing research. As a court-appointed child advocate, a pediatric nurse, mentor to young professionals in her field, educator, and a social worker, Rachel has dedicated her career to serving her community and listening to the needs of others. She plans to bring her passion for growing and uplifting others to public office. As a state representative, Rachel will work to address issues that impact children, families, and workers by opposing barriers that block access to reproductive healthcare, advocating for mental health resources in our communities, fighting for fair school funding and equal pay for equal work.
