Lakewood Board of Education
Northeast Ohio, Local
Nora Katzenberger is running for Lakewood Board of Education to create a more equitable environment for the children of Lakewood. She plans to be a vocal advocate to ensure the safety of the city’s children, promote gender equity, foster a diverse curriculum, ensure inclusion for children with disabilities, and work to eliminate socioeconomic barriers. Her extensive experience volunteering for a variety of diverse organizations has prepared her well to support the people of Lakewood. Plus, she’s no stranger to politics. In 2020, she spearheaded the Lakewood School Levy campaign that overwhelmingly passed with 77% of the vote in one of the highest election turnouts in Lakewwod. Her dedication to the wellbeing of Lakewood and its children is evident.
Nora has two daughters in the school district and believes she is the right candidate at the right time for Lakewood: continuing to serve her community is her ultimate goal. She says: “Our public schools employ mostly women, educate the future women leaders of our country, and provide the best path toward economic independence for all women. I want to be a leader in this movement, now and in the future.”
