Nikki Hudson
Cleveland City Council, Ward 11
Northeast Ohio, Local
Nikki Hudson is a grassroots community leader and longtime resident of Cleveland’s Cudell neighborhood, where she has lived with her family for over 20 years. Originally from Columbus, she moved to Northeast Ohio to attend Kent State University and later earned a law degree from Cleveland State University.
After law school, Nikki co-founded a juice and smoothie business at the West Side Market with her husband. As they started a family, she transitioned into part-time work while staying deeply involved in her community.
Nikki serves on the boards of Cudell Improvement and Northwest Neighborhoods CDC and chairs the Edgewater Parke Neighbors block club. She has led efforts to improve neighborhood safety, protect green space, secure crosswalks, and plant thousands of daffodils along Desmond Avenue. Her leadership also helped revoke a liquor license tied to ongoing criminal activity.
She is a leading voice in the Save Cudell Park campaign, serves on the Marion-Seltzer Elementary redesign committee, and is an active member of the Coalition for a Better Cleveland. Nikki has consistently spoken out on issues like equitable development and transparent redistricting.
Nikki is committed to building a safer, more inclusive Cleveland and will be a passionate advocate for Matriots’ values in office.
Click Here to Learn More About Nikki HudsonI am running for City Council to expand the community building work that I’ve been doing for the past several years in the Cudell neighborhood, to the rest of the new Ward 11, and to the City of Cleveland as a whole. As a City Councilmember, I will fight not just to make Ward 11 a better place to live but will develop policies to improve the quality of lives for all Clevelanders.
