Upper Arlington Board of Education
Nidhi Satiani is seeking a seat on the Upper Arlington Board of Education. She is a daughter of immigrants and was born and raised in Ohio. She received degrees in optometry and public health from The Ohio State University. As the Director of Clinical Services for two start-up companies, she helped develop a novel contact lens and an eyecare app. Her experience as a public health professional, healthcare provider, and engaged parent will have her seamlessly combine science with community values and educational priorities. She will actively seek to understand the diverse needs of the district’s students and their families and to continuously assess the effectiveness of implemented policies. She is committed to creating sustainable solutions that will lay a strong foundation to a more supportive and equitable education system in Upper Arlington. Her experience with the district before and during the pandemic have made her aware of the diverse needs of district teachers, students, and families and the need to continuously assess the effectiveness of implemented policies which will support all stakeholders with programs, training and access to appropriate assistance while laying a foundation of inclusiveness.
