Dr. Nidhi Satiani is a dedicated advocate for public education, believing in its power to uplift communities and strengthen democracy. With decades of experience in science, optometry, and public health, she is pursuing a doctorate in public policy and management. Her research is about how community values and public pK-12 education systems cultivate respect for diverse voices and foster democratic norms.

Her recent community involvement spans healthcare, education, and youth development,
including board service through the Mount Carmel Health Foundation, Ohio State Mortar Board
Alumni Council, and Erase the Space. As well as working to launch a Community Health Action Team in Upper Arlington in partnership with Franklin County Public Health.

Elected in 2021, as a current member of the Upper Arlington Board of Education, Nidhi works to empower every student to grow and contribute as engaged citizens. Nidhi will continue to be a powerful proponent of Matriots’ values on the board. She envisions schools as models of collaborative progress that honor every student, showing them how to transform ideas into impact.
