Senator Nickie Antonio is honored to represent District 23, where she serves as the highest ranking member on the Senate Health, Transportation, and Joint Medicaid Oversight Committees, and as the Assistant Minority Leader. Senator Antonio has worked to pass bills such as the historic adoption open records law and step therapy reform law. She also worked to abolish the shackling of pregnant inmates and to require pharmacist education for dispensing life-saving naloxone. While in the Ohio legislature, she introduced the Ohio Fairness Act, which would provide civil rights protections for members of the LGBTQ+ community, and continues to work to end Ohio’s use of the death penalty. Senator Antonio continues to be an established expert in health policy in the General Assembly, and will continue to fight for The Matriots values and all Ohioans when reelected.
Re-Elect Nickie AntonioI want to continue to make a positive difference through good public policy for the people of Ohio. I am experienced and have demonstrated that I know how to get things done. I also serve as the voice of those who are marginalized by the current majority to push back and fight for a better way forward.
