With over 25 years of experience practicing law and a lifetime commitment to the local community, Councilmember Nancy Holland serves Ward 1 of Akron as an accessible and responsive City Council member. To office, she brings her commitment to better communication, efficiency, and stronger collaboration with those she serves. As a prior Akron Civil Rights Commissioner, Councilmember Holland understands the daily burdens her community faces and is committed to eradicating the systems that discriminate against the citizens of Akron. From her role as a current City Council member, where she actively advocates for and supports female entrepreneurship and women-owned startup businesses, to her legislation providing free menstrual products in all City restrooms, Councilmember Holland has demonstrated that she is a community leader who is deeply committed to improving the livelihood of her constituents and will continue to champion Matriots’ values when re-elected.
