Columbus City Council
Central Ohio, Local
Growing up in a small town where her parents instilled a strong sense of responsibility and tradition, Nancy Day-Achauer understands the importance of taking an active role in her community. Her experience receiving a quality education in public schools is at the root of her passion for ensuring that all children have the opportunity to succeed. While working full-time and raising a child independently, Nancy attended night classes and earned her degree in Business Management. Like many people in the United States, she experienced the challenges and hardships faced by women and men who raise their families without a co-parent. After moving to Ohio in 2005, she earned her Master of Divinity and lives with her husband and dog. When elected, Nancy will endorse the Matriots values and ensure that her experiences help guide her in supporting policies that ensure every student has the opportunity for success.Nancy Day-Achauer for Columbus
I have been getting things done for my community for years and know that I can do more on city council. We are at an exciting turning point where we can become a city where people want to come here and stay here. But we have a lot of work to do to get there so everyone can have housing that’s affordable, one job that pays a living wage, and a community that is safe and thriving for all.
