Molly Schneider is running for State Representative in Ohio’s House District 35. A lifelong resident, educator, and member of the Aurora City Schools Board of Education, she is committed to strengthening communities through public education, responsible leadership, and thoughtful decision-making.
With nearly 20 years as a high school social studies teacher, Molly has also served as a department chair, mentor, and instructional coach. She was awarded the James Madison Memorial Fellowship and is completing her Ph.D. at Kent State University, focusing on civic learning and student engagement. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how policy impacts schools and communities. As a school board member, she helps guide policy, oversee budgets, and represent community priorities. Molly comes from a family with deep roots in local service and is raising her two sons in Aurora with her husband, a U.S. Army veteran and fire chief. She is active in local civic organizations and is running to bring steady, community-focused leadership to Columbus, with priorities including strong schools, responsible budgeting, and support for working families. The Matriots are proud to champion Molly and her work.
When young women see women running for office, especially in legislative roles, it expands their sense of what is possible. Representation is not the end goal, but it is a necessary condition for parity.
