Meredith M. Turner is running for Cuyahoga County Council, District 9, where she currently serves as Chair of the Financing and Budgeting and Vice Chair of Economic Development.
A proud graduate of Shaker Heights High School, Cuyahoga Community College, Chicago State University, and Cleveland State University, Meredith accumulated years of serving Northeast Ohio as teacher and coach, worked under Senator Sherrod Brown as an Immigration Caseworker, a Regional Representative, a Constituent Services Liaison, and an Election Official with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
Meredith has amassed numerous awards and positions, solidifying herself as a committed leader, receiving awards such as the NAACP Emerging Leader Award and the Dorothy I. Height Political Awareness and Involvement Award from the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, as well serving on a Board Trustee for the Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation and the National Civic Engagement Co-Chair for the National Social Action Commission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Meredith remains deeply committed to her civic and community leadership, rooting her displayed leadership in empowering communities and advancing opportunities within her community, and serving vulnerable communities throughout Northeast Ohio.
