Meredith Lawson-Rowe made history when she was one of three black women elected in 2019 to Reynoldsburg City Council. Councilmember Meredith Lawson-Rowe will continue to represent the community of Reynoldsburg when elected as Council President. She plans to continue building the community of Reynoldsburg with a growth plan that includes housing, business, and disciplined plans for the city’s streets, sidewalks, and green space. Councilmember Lawson-Rowe believes all voices must be heard, celebrated, and acknowledged. She will continue improving the city’s communication efforts when re-elected and encourage community engagement in City Council meetings. Councilmember Lawson–Rowe is constantly celebrating women and advocating for women’s rights and health. Under her term, she helped to establish an annual Juneteenth celebration, and she and her colleagues passed an Anti-discrimination policy for the city. She has always had a heart to serve and has been fortunate to help around the state and the nation. By day, Councilmember Lawson-Rowe is a professional Executive Administrator and a member of the Columbus (Oh) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
