Melissa Sponseller is an expert in collaboration and is no stranger to the world of education. Having spent her career in higher education, Melissa knows first-hand the importance of a well-rounded education, as well as the crucial element of communication between all of those involved in the system.

Melissa is ready to apply her professional skills to benefit her community as a member of the Liberty Union-Thurston Board of Education.

If elected, Melissa’s intentions are “to improve upon our current ways of disseminating information.”She understands that communication is key for busy families, and she strongly believes in equal, firm representation when it comes to school district decisions. She is a graduate of Liberty Union with four children currently in the school system, and therefore has a personal desire to improve for the future.
