Melissa Green is running for Columbus City Council, District 6. A social worker and mom to a fifth-generation Hilltop child, she is well versed in the challenges facing her District. Melissa has always felt called to serve others and is now ready to support her community as a City Council member. During the early years of her career, she worked as a behavioral health therapist. Her experiences caused her to shift her focus to public service, where she has continually worked to treat not just the symptoms of challenges that so many people experience. Instead, she seeks to develop programs and change policies to improve the health and well-being of Columbus — and everyone who lives in it.

When elected, Melissa knows that she can continue to improve the lives of residents and ensure that it remains a safe and healthy place to live and raise a family.
