Megan Walsh

Megan Walsh was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Beachwood Board of Education in January 2019 and was formally elected to her seat November 2019. She has served as Board President since January 2022 and is no novice when it comes to community involvement. She has served more than fifteen years in planning and developing community programs.
Currently serving as Deputy Project Director for MomsFirst at the Cleveland Department of Public Health, President Walsh works closely with partners and subcontractors to achieve goals for the organization. She has been invited to speak at various events on issues such as racial disparity, cultural competence, and social determinants of health. With a background in social work, President Walsh has collaborated with a diverse field of clients, including students, through the position of Senior-Lead Therapist at Lincoln-West High School, which she held from 2010 to 2015. Megan has a strong drive to positively impact her community through the Beachwood Board of Education. When re-elected, she will continue to elevate the Matriots values and bring her experience and dedication to the city of Beachwood.
