Megan Coy
Ohio House of Representatives, District 17
Northeast Ohio, State Legislature
Megan Coy is running for State Representative in Ohio’s House District 17, which includes Berea, Broadview Heights, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, Strongsville, and part of Olmsted Township. A registered nurse and Councilwoman At-Large serving her second term on Olmsted Falls City Council, Megan is running because she has seen firsthand how gaps in healthcare policy affect patients and families, and she wants to be a strong advocate for her community in Columbus.
Megan earned a BA from Francis Marion University, a Master of Public Health from University of South Carolina, and a BSN from Cleveland State University. Over the past decade, she has worked in pediatric trauma and surgery, imaging, oncology, and general pediatrics. Before becoming a nurse, she worked as a health educator until her position was eliminated due to budget cuts.
A lifelong Ohioan, Megan grew up in Avon Lake and purchased her first home in Olmsted Falls in 2021. As a councilwoman, she has prioritized transparency, communication, and community engagement while advocating for residents and small businesses alike.
The Matriots are proud to endorse Megan Coy for Ohio House District 17 because of her commitment to public service, healthcare advocacy, and putting the needs of Ohio families first.
