Representative Lisa Sobecki is running for Lucas County Commissioner to bring a fresh vision for the county, backed by her lengthy career as a public servant. Representative Sobecki served on the Toledo Board of Education for eight years. Eventually becoming President of the Board, she was instrumental in hiring the current leadership of the district and helped oversee the trailblazing construction of 44 new buildings to advance the educational experience for Toledo’s children. She was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2019, where she has been a strong advocate for voting rights, access to women’s reproductive healthcare, union rights, public health initiatives, sound economic development, infrastructure, funding for public schools, and local government funding. Elected the Ohio Democratic Women’s Legislative Caucus President in 2020, she is recognized in the Statehouse and beyond as a driven and dedicated leader.
