As a public servant with over 30 years of experience in the field, Councilmember Linda Omobien has been continuously dedicated to the service of others and her community for much of her life. She has pushed for legislation that has spurred the building of schools that educate children during the day and act as community centers open to all at night. As a member of the Summit County Social Services Advisory Board,  Councilmember Omobien has her finger on the pulse of her community and continues to work to meet her constituents where they are. From her role as a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor to member of the Public Safety Committee, where she regularly takes part in recruiting minorities and women for the Police Force and Fire Department, Councilmember Omobien has always shown her deep commitment to listening and understanding the needs of those that live within the city of Akron and will continue to do so while fighting to uphold Matriots’ values when re-elected.
