Lauren Marchaza is running for Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education in November. She grew up in Mentor and understands the challenges that her former school system faces.
Lauren began her journey in education as a graduate teaching assistant at Ohio University, followed by two years as an adjunct instructor at University of Hartford in Connecticut. She later managed a student mentoring program at College Now Greater Cleveland. Today, she works in higher education as director and editor of publications at Case Western Reserve University.
Lauren believes that every child has a right to education, which motivates her passion to solve issues like bus driver shortages, large class sizes, and safety and security. When elected, Lauren will fight for students’ access and a brighter future for the district.
