Dr. Laura Schaeffer is a proud citizen of Beloit Village after being born and raised in Beloit and returning there with her husband Nathan Sharp to raise their three children. Lauren graduated from West Branch High School and went on to Agnes Scott College where she received her B.A. in neuroscience. Afterwards, Laura went on to the Georgia Institute of Technology to receive her M.S. and Ph.D. in engineering psychology.  

After returning home to Beloit, Laura began her career in public service as an ILS Administrator at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County where she appreciates the opportunity to be a part of a public service that is vital to the success of her community. Laura wants to address real issues within her community starting with ending gerrymandering, creating a government that listens to everybody, and a government with term limits.  

The Matriots are proud to endorse Dr. Laura Schaeffer for Ohio House of Representatives, District 59, and look forward to seeing the impact she has on her community as well as Ohio.
