Latyna Humphrey
State Representative, District 2
Central Ohio, State Legislature
Representative Latyna Humphrey was born and raised in Columbus, and is honored to serve her community as a State Representative. Currently serving House District 26, Representative Humphrey is now seeking reelection in newly-drawn House District 2. As a single mom who worked her way through college, she knows firsthand what it means to fight for the prosperity of women and families. Her highest priority in life is the same as so many Ohioans: to give her son a better foundation in life than she had. She brings that same heart and drive to the Ohio Statehouse, advocating for the wellbeing of everyday Ohioans.
Representative Humphrey has dedicated her career to uplifting those experiencing poverty and creating more equitable communities, with a history of involvement with organizations such as YWCA, YMCA, Central Ohio Young Black Democrats, and NAACP-Columbus. Prior to her first term in the Statehouse, Representative Humphrey was the Community Outreach Coordinator for Franklin County Auditor, Michael Stinziano. A trusted and prolific voice in our community, she is a two-time author, has been featured in multiple national publications, and has been a guest speaker at Columbia University, The Ohio State University, the National Society of Leadership and Success, Brooklyn College, Hampton University and many others. When reelected, we know she will continue to fight for Matriots values and the most marginalized Ohioans, uplifting all communities.
Latyna M. Humphrey for OhioI am running to empower my community. I believe I can be a voice for my neighbors, specifically around affordable housing, criminal justice reform, and correcting the wage disparity experienced by those in my district.
