Kristin was born in Colorado and grew up in Toledo, Ohio. She attended the Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering in 2013. After graduation, she started her career as an engineer in southwest Ohio, eventually settling in Deerfield Township with her husband, Brett. Shortly after moving to Deerfield, she ran for Township Trustee to bring a voice to the citizens of Deerfield who demanded more transparency from their elected officials. Kristin won the election in a 6-way race and took office in January 2018. Since then, she has advocated for preserving parks and greenspace, has supported responsible development, and has implemented measures to boost transparency among many other accomplishments. Kristin is running for reelection in 2021 to continue the work that she has started in Deerfield.
