Kim Thomas is the Mayor and Safety Director of Richmond Heights. Before being elected mayor, she served as a council member and was actively involved in the finance, audit, safety, planning, and zoning committees. 

Her professional career began as a stylist, later becoming responsible for helping to increase revenue through marketing and sales at John Paul Mitchell Systems. She has also been a small business owner for over 30 years.

Mayor Thomas is committed to building on the momentum Richmond Heights is experiencing by creating jobs and expanding opportunities that benefit all residents. Her dedication to the community spans all generations, from seniors to youth. From her passion to providing resources to seniors and adults with disabilities to partnering with local schools, Greater Cleveland Works, and Youth Opportunities Unlimited to develop career pathways. Mayor Thomas wants to ensure that all of her constituents have the support they need to thrive. 

Mayor Thomas believes deeply in the potential of Richmond Heights and remains faithful to building a vibrant, inclusive future for all who call it home.
