Candidates
Kelly A. Kosek
Strongsville City Council
Northeast Ohio, Local
Kelly A. Kosek is a returning Matriots-endorsed candidate who is running as an incumbent for Strongsville City Council. Since her appointment in 2018 as one of only two women serving in city government, Councilmember Kosek has proven herself a tireless advocate for women, families, and her community.
Leveraging 17 years of experience practicing law and a perspective gained as a board leader of numerous community organizations, Kelly has proven she gets results: taking a stand against unrestrained development and traffic, sponsoring an ordinance to make the sale of e-cigarette equipment to children illegal, and bringing a new ADA-compliant playground to Strongsville.
On council, Kelly will continue to embody Matriots’ values, advocate for her residents, and ensure that families have a voice on council. Whether that be pushing for more family amenities, ensuring that tax money works for residents and not just businesses, or pushing to strengthen women’s voice in her local government.
