Katie Vockell is running for Ohio State Representative, District 62. She believes Ohio needs people, not politicians, and specifically, more women. Women bring a perspective to government that is currently lacking in the statehouse. Legislative change requires representation, and Katie aims to provide that. 

Born and raised in Southwest Ohio, Katie graduated from high school and attended Miami University, beginning her accounting and finance career in Columbus. It was in Columbus that she met her husband, Ryan, bought a house, and got married. In 2015, they moved to Milford to start their family, welcoming two energetic boys over the next few years. 

Katie wants her boys to grow up seeing that mothers are more than just moms. She believes mothers can change the world, protect medical rights, public schools, children, and Ohio’s future. Katie Vockell is committed to bringing this vision to the statehouse, embodying the values and mission of The Matriots in her campaign and service.
