A resident of Symmes Township for seventeen years, Karen Brownless is ready to bring a fresh perspective to the community as Symmes Township Trustee. Karen is a wife and mother of three with a background in community mental health with youth and families. Her background has provided her with the experience of working with people to find win-win solutions. When elected, Karen will bring people together towards collaborative solutions to ensure different perspectives are considered. She will hold people accountable and work to ensure budgets and operations are communicated to the residents. In addition, she will be proactive in addressing change to ensure opportunities to increase property values and the overall quality of living. Karen is also a community trainer for local and state law enforcement, school staff, and parents in trauma-informed care for youth. She is an advocate for mental health and understands how important it is, especially to the youth. Karen believes that a healthy environment (natural and human-made) makes for healthier citizens.
