As a 27-year resident of University Heights, Jodi Sourini is seeking re-election to the Board of Education for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. During her first term, Sourini served two years as Board President and one year as Board Vice President. An advocate of public education, Jodi has spearheaded statewide advocacy for school funding; elevated equity to the forefront of decision making; promoted excellence in preschool, AP participation, and the district’s graduation rate; leveraged real estate development opportunities to gain maximum benefit for the district’s taxpayers; improved governmental relations with the school district’s host cities; and expanded community partnerships to meet student needs in health, food stability, technology, and mental health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Kent State University and an MBA from John Carroll University. She has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and communications for industrial companies.
