Jessica Wilson realized she couldn’t remain on the decision-making sidelines any longer after facing a new set of challenges helping her child with disabilities navigate online distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. She felt her frustrations and thoughts were not being adequately addressed by the Rocky River School Board, so she decided to be the change she wanted to see in her community.

As a parent of children in the district and as a Consultant with Hendy Avenue Consulting, Jessica is uniquely positioned to advocate for institutional change in Rocky River. Through her work as a consultant to executive leadership in various school districts across the country, she understands the state-level policies and regulations that guide school-system operations, and the many tensions that school system leaders must address.

She deeply supports the district’s justice, diversity, equity and inclusion programming and will work on behalf of the betterment of all and amplify the voices often overlooked: women and minorities.
