Jessica Cohen holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard, a master’s in public policy and administration from Northwestern University, and a Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University. She has dedicated her career to public service—working for U.S. Representative Carolyn McCarthy, raising millions of dollars for community programs, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in every role she’s taken on. Nationally recognized for her leadership in strengthening Jewish community interests through strategy, advocacy, partnerships, and civic engagement, Jessica is now bringing her skills and passion home to Cleveland Heights.
Running for Cleveland Heights City Council, Jessica is focused on strengthening city infrastructure, fostering accessible and meaningful public engagement, promoting economic development, and building a more collaborative council culture. For the past 16 years, she has been deeply involved in local government, serving on the Citizens Advisory Committee, the 2017 Charter Review Commission, and the Planning Commission. Alongside her husband, Jessica is raising five children in Cleveland Heights.
