A lifelong resident of Upper Arlington and currently raising a family in the community, Jenny McKenna is running for re-election for the Board of Education. Board member McKenna believes that education is the most important asset the community can invest in. The Upper Arlington school system is excellent, and she wants to ensure that the Board of Education remains on the correct course. Jenny also believes that the Board of Education needs to listen to educational research and make decisions based on well-researched data. Jenny is an advocate for supporting social and emotional needs of students to ensure academic excellence, and the importance of prioritizing both to lead children to become successful citizens. Continuing her position on the Board of Education, Jenny will provide continuity and stability, engage the community, and lead with a student-first mindset. Aligning with the Matriots values of education, Jenny believes that public education is a place for all students. When re-elected, she will continue to make sure that all students are welcomed and supported on their educational journey.
