Currently serving as Vice-Mayor and City Councilmember of Cincinnati, Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney seeks re-election. Outside of being a Vice-Mayor, Jan-Michele is a board member of the Women’s City Club, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, VIA Character, and the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative. She owns a multi-media publishing company, Sesh Communications, that includes ownership of the award-winning The Cincinnati Herald newspaper. An achievement that will have the most long-lasting effect on the community is expanding affordable housing options and promoting home ownership. During Jan-Michele’s time on the city council, they’ve taken several steps to increase the number of affordable housing units available in Cincinnati. When re-elected, Councilmember Kearny will push for more community engagement and greater participation in major infrastructure projects planned for the area. She will also make for more aggressive policies to stop the gun violence crisis and more economic opportunities for the youth and underserved community members. We know that Vice-Mayor Lemon Kearney will continue to help improve the city of Cincinnati and uphold Matriots values when re-elected.
