A compassionate and determined leader is what Powell needs, and Councilmember Heather Karr is an embodiment of just that. Councilmember Karr’s service-minded career began as she worked with the Justice League of Ohio in 2005 as the Victims’ Rights Compliance Director and then went on to work as a staff attorney in the Fifth District Court of Appeals. Currently, she is a teaching assistant for preschool children with special needs for the Olentangy Local School District Preschool Program. Councilmember Karr is currently the Chair of the Community Diversity Advisory Committee, leading inclusion initiatives, and is eager to continue her work on council. She is specifically looking forward to improving collaboration, conversation, safety services, development and parking, and walking and bike paths. Councilmember Karr will strive for equitable education, services, and neighborhoods in Powell.
Re-Elect Heather KarrAs a lawyer for the Justice League, I worked with women and child victims to make sure their voices are heard. As a Powell City Councilmember, I work to make sure women are represented on our boards and commissions.
