As a Dover native, Gina Space knows exactly what it takes to preserve and restore the community and city of Dover. Gina is running for City Council At Large because she has learned from first-hand experience exactly what it takes to make long lasting improvements. She has worked in a city government for five years as Aide to the President of Council and then in the Columbus City Attorney’s office, giving her key expertise to be successful as a councilmember.

Family is important to Gina, and she plans to improve the City’s Paid Family Leave Policy and do whatever she can to support families that are struggling within the community. She’ll also propose plans for the development of small businesses, combating the drug abuse crises, and having open communication between elected officials and their constituents. Gina is ready to look for ways to increase women’s interest in jobs traditionally dominated by men at the city level and hopes that by being elected to City Council At Large, she will encourage and inspire other women to take on leadership roles at the city level.
