Emily Mason is running for Milford Exempted Village School Board because she believes every child deserves an equal education. As a parent of two children in the district, Emily is keenly aware of the schools’ approach to education and, over the last year, has seen firsthand discrepancies presented in learning, social development, and support at home. When elected, Emily hopes to create a plan to address the learning loss from last year while acknowledging and helping to close access inequalities. Since having her first child start in the Milford schools six years ago, she’s been driven to support children’s success within the district. She has served on the PTA Board, started and coached a running program at a local school, volunteered to design and manage the school’s yearbook, and served as a local scout leader.
