Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Danielle Sabo has lived in Chagrin Falls for the past decade with her partner, Jason, and five-year-old son. Dr. Sabo is ready to bring her experience and knowledge to the Chagrin Falls Board of Education. She has a Master’s and Ph.D from Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Sociology and spent her undergrad career earning her B.A. at Ohio University in Communication Studies and Political Science. Danielle is a part of a variety of organizations in her community which consist of: National Eating Disorders Association, Planned Parenthood of Greater Cleveland, League of Women Voters, Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, Sexual Assault Kit Initiative, Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, and LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland. Dr. Sabo is running for Chagrin Falls Board of Education because, as a mom to a neurodiverse child in the district, an educator, and a researcher, she believes that she has the unique experiences and skills to truly champion the multitude of voices striving to be heard in the district. When elected, Dr. Sabo’s main concern would be safety. She will work directly with the police department to develop an anti-violence intervention and prevention plan. She wants to ensure that all individuals feel physically, mentally, and emotional equipped and secure in their roles on a daily basis. Additionally, she is focused on ensuring that all students with learning differences are seen and advocated for in the curriculum. All children, no matter how they learn, deserve to thrive and grow in Chagrin Falls, and she will ensure that every student has the capacity to be successful in their educational journey.
