Colleen Clark–Sutton has been an active Lakewood volunteer for over 20 years. By doing so, Colleen has been able to serve on district-wide committees dedicated to improving the Lakewood City School District for all students and residents.  With an extensive background in education and currently a professor at Cuyahoga Community College, Colleen is well suited for the Lakewood Board of Education.   

When elected, Colleen plans to improve communication between school administrators, staff, families, and residents without children in the school system. She would encourage reinstituting topic–specific community meetings to engage all community residents.   

Colleen’s goal has always been to provide her students with the tools and training to give them the confidence to pursue jobs, careers, and lifestyles that ensure their well-being, health, and safety. Colleen is well aligned with all of the Matriot’s values, particularly around access to education. We are proud to support her run for the Lakewood Board of Education.
