In  Christian Johnson’s own words, “I am a young woman of color running for office to hold one of those seats. To make a space for women, and be in those rooms where decisions are made for children who look like me.” Endorsed by The Matriots in 2020 for her State Senate campaign, Christian is running to bring the community voice to the Pickerington Board of Education. Christian’s mentoring roots began in Pickerington, where she saw firsthand that young girls needed a safe place and confidence to be authentically themselves. Once elected, Christian will continue that work and will work to build a structure to include the community voice.
